This post is dedicated to gtalk (includes android users too) users who have a bajillion apps installed to be able to chat with their friends on MSN/AIM/ICQ/Jabber.
Although Google don’t have any additional transport protocols on their jabber servers although we can use third party servers as a workaround.
Why?
You can chat with all your friends using android’s native gTalk client, saving memory and battery life .
How to do it?
- Download Psi from http://www.psi-im.org and Install it
- Run Psi and enter your Gmail credentials
- Add the MSN transport using a third party server
General > Service Discovery

Use the third party jabber server:

Address: jabber.hot-chilli.net
Browse
Left click on ‘Hot-Chilli MSN Transport’ and then ‘Register’ - Enter your msn login credentials

- Accept all the invites appearing on your jabber client
- Organize your contacts
- Go to gTalk and start chatting with your msn contacts
